“Sarah is Not Her Name” was directed by Eduardo Rios (Brazil) and stars Christina Paterno.
“I [got to] actually step behind the stick of this project too and take an extra role in production which was a completely enlightening experience,” she said.
It’s being shown at the Court Metrage Short Film Corner, Cannes Film Festival 2016.
Ms Paterno said it was up against 4000 other submissions to be shown at the prestigious event.
“It's an amazing marketing and networking opportunity,” she said.
“The cast and crew are given accreditation badges to the festival and all the events to really benefit from the entire experience and to promote the film.”
Other projects Ms Paterno has coming up include four episodes for the sci-fi web series “Here We Wait”, directed by Canadian Bea Macapagal.
She’s also about to go into filming a new indie film titled “Lurker” produced by Brooklyn based firm Fedorasouth Films.
