Those Australian fans wanting to catch a glimpse of Leicester City's heroic marksman Jamie Vardy taking on the Socceroos on Saturday will be left wanting, as the striker has been ruled out so he can get married.

Vardy, who scored the winner as England beat Turkey 2-1 in a friendly on Monday morning (AEST), was given time off from the national team by coach Roy Hodgson to finally marry his fiancee Rebekah Nicholson.
"Vardy won't be involved [against Australia] because he is getting married on Wednesday," Hodgson said. "That, you could say, is unfortunate but you must bear in mind last year his wedding was planned during the month of June and I called him up for the international matches and he cancelled his wedding.
"I think he deserves that possibility to get married here."
Vardy led Leicester to their maiden premier-league title, scoring 24 goals as the Foxes completed the now famous 5000-1 fairytale.
He made his England debut in May last year and is a key man in Hodgson's Euro 2016 plans.
Although Hodgson has confirmed Vardy's spot in the squad is safe, the prolific striker has made it clear where his priorities lie compared to the wedding.
"I get married on Wednesday," the striker said after the Turkey victory. "The boss has given me Wednesday off to get married but I'll be back in training after that."
