Students to dazzle in Tournament of Minds

A cluey group of Illawarra youngsters will put their brains to the test this weekend at the Tournament of the Minds national final in Perth.

The TIGS primary school kids, aged from nine to 12, won the state final in the language and literature division last month and now face the nation’s best. 

Tournament of the Minds is a problem-solving competition where teams in both primary and secondary years solve demanding, open-ended challenges in a range of topic areas. 

The TIGS junior team have beaten teams from several prestigious schools to win their place at the challenging national finals where they hope to add another trophy to their collection.
