Deftly ridden by Chad Lever, the Warwick Farm trained gelding had the run of the race sitting just off the pace.
After making his move on the home turn, the horse kicked clear with a furlong to go and showed the field a clean set of heels, racing away to win by four-and-half lengths.
Paul Murray-trained Life Of Reilly was second and Lynda Bundy’s Sigmund third.
Meanwhile, five-year-old mare Haut Haut won the Kinghorn Ford Belle of the South.
Trained by Leanne Aspros, also out of Warwick Farm, the mare narrowly claimed victory over her rivals Andsoitiswritten second and Phoebe’s Lass third. Sunday’s race meeting also saw the conclusion of the Bede Murray Memorial Trophy (leading trainer) and Nathan Berry Memorial Trophy (leading jockey) point score.
Fittingly Bede’s son Paul Murray took out the trophy named in has father;s honour and Jay Ford won the Nathan Berry Memorial.
The day was another huge success this year, with a quality day of racing taking place.
