Teaching youngsters music is another passion which led to Haworth launching the Haworth Music School earlier this year.
The school offers tuition in guitar, drums, piano and singing at Haworth’s Shellharbour Music Centre and Haworth’s Music in Fairy Meadow.
In late May Haworth and his team started a campaign to commemorate the launch of the new music school program.
The initiative titled #RandomActsofMusic allows Haworth’s Music to give back to the local community.
Haworth and his team kick-started the campaign by dropping into Peterborough School in Warilla and donating musical instruments to the school which provides programs for intellectual, physical and multiple disabilities, including autism.
Hand drums, tambourines, ukuleles and other percussion instruments as well as a three-quarter sized acoustic guitar was donated to the school.
Haworth and his team also did a 15-minute musical session with the students and teacher Ben Swanenberg.
‘’Giving back to the local community is something we’ve always tried to do and it’s something that my dad was always a big fan of,’’ Haworth said.
‘’Playing music is something all kids deserve to learn how to do...which is why we wanted to donate the instruments and the main reason we started teaching in our stores.’’
