The woman’s red Mitsubishi Lancer sedan ran up an embankment beside the northbound lanes of the Princes Highway shortly before 2.30pm Tuesday. 

The car flipped and came to land on its roof.

The woman was able to get out of the car without the assistance of emergency services. 

She was transported by ambulance to Shellharbour Hospital in a stable condition. 

The accident occurred near the Oak Flats interchange, about 400m north of Masters hardware store. 

No other cars were involved.
