The first Glow - Silent Yoga session in Wollongong was so well received at Thirroul Dance Academy that the organisers are thinking about holding an outdoor session at dusk near Sandon Point Beach in Spring.
Silent Yoga combines yoga, music and glowing headphones in a way that cuts out the outside world.
The room was darkened and participants could only hear instructor Tehla Bower’s voice and music.
The idea is for external noise and distractions to become almost non-existent as participants get to experience a fusion of traditional yoga and the latest audio technology.
Alexandra Blake and Alita Ashcroft, of Envie Fitness Woonona, had the equipment sent up from Melbourne for the 90 minute escape from reality.
