University of Wollongong graduate Ken Kencevski is taking a management tool he developed for his parent’s business to do more than found a new enterprise. He wants to work with other young entrepreneurs to show the world what Wollongong start-ups can do. After completing a Bachelor of Information Technology majoring in eBusiness the former TIGS student developed the IT and marketing side of the family business. The eBusiness and digital methods he developed over fives years recently helped Speedmaster be recognised as a Top 100 Retailer in Australia. The business run by Peter and Olivera Kencevski is now nominated for the 2016 Online Retailer Industry Awards (ORIAS). Mr Kencevski drives racing cars, is training to be an acrobatic pilot and is an Australian ambassador for the G20 Young Entrepreneurs and Global Entrepreneur Network. And he wants to take a team of UOW graduates with him.

In that and other capacities the young Wollongong entrepreneur has been lucky enough to meet many of his heroes such as Richard Branson, Tony Robins, Jordan Belfort, Mark Webber and Casey Stoner.
But his present focus is on establishing his new start-up and making his process known to other businesses.
“In a nutshell over the last five years I developed the Devika ideology and method,” he said.
“Devika is a creations agency that is heavily embedded in the technology industry. Our passion not only comes from building solutions for our clients, but from sharing our knowledge.”
As a result Devika has developed a community involvement program called Devika Learning.
It is being run by Brennan Hatton.
“Brennan spent three years in Silicon Valley,” Mr Kencevski said.
“We are teaching students everything we have implemented for our clients.”
Devika is also part of Pledge 1% which means it gives up one per cent of its equity, product, and employee time to the community.

Mr Kencevski met Sir Richard Branson when he spoke at an online retailer event on how to win customers with a small team.
“Six months after it got published on the global entrepreneurs network,” he said.
“ENYA, the Enrepreneur Network for Young Australians, saw that...and asked me to be part of the organisation. In September we will be going to China for the G20 Summit.”
Mr Kencevski want to take a team of UOW graduates with him who have done some “cool things”.
Devika started his business by reverse engineering what he did for the family business.
