Last month, FSC ruled United had four visa players on their playing roster – one more than the permitted amount for Illawarra Premier League clubs.
Former Trinidad international Bradley Welch has since left the club, but United are still set to receive sanctions. A statement released by FSC on Monday confirmed United would lose all of the points they had accumulated up until the breach was discovered.
“As a consequence of VISA player breaches as per Competition Rules (2.6.1), a 13 point deduction initially determined by Football South Coast, was subsequently upheld by the independent FSC Disciplinary Appeals Tribunal,” the statement by FSC said.
“The club is able to further appeal this decision via an appeal process governed by Football New South Wales.”
United have until the close of business on Tuesday to lodge their appeal to Football NSW.
If the appeals goes in as planned, the decision will more than likely take several more weeks to be resolved.
United are currently fourth on the ladder on 23 competition points. The deduction would see them slip dramatically out of finals contention down into 10th on the ladder.
The news comes as Shell Cove battle two, three point deductions of their own for ‘breaches of terms and conditions’.
