The Blueys currently hold down third on the Illawarra Premier League ladder, but remain in a desperate battle to stay in the finals fray.
Just two points splits them from seventh-placed Picton Rangers, who witnessed first hand how quickly a club can slip outside the top-five with a loss last weekend.
It’s a fact not lost on Willis as his men prepare for a string of matches against the Fury (1st), Wollongong United (4th) and Albion Park White Eagles (5th).
“We have got three hard games and it is very important for us to get something out of them,” Willis said.
“It is tight.
“If you get a win, you close in on the top two but if you lose you can go down to sixth or seventh place.”
After losing fourth matches in a row, the Blueys have since won three straight games heading into Sunday’s match against Kemblawarra at Albert Butler Memorial Park.
“We have just been taking our chances,” Willis said of the results turnaround.
“We had three or four games there where we were still creating chances but we didn’t take them.
“The last few weeks we have taken them because if you don’t you get punished.”
The Blueys have welcomed Sangyu Park and former Wollongong United player Bradley Welch in recent weeks.
In other matches on Saturday, Shell Cove host Bulli, Picton meet Port Kembla, Wollongong Olympic face-off against Cringila Lions and Woonona head south to Albion Park.
On Sunday, Wollongong United look to accrue more points as a potential points deduction looms when they travel to South Coast United
