Rain and snow one week, brilliant sunshine the next.
The temperature is set to hit 32 degrees on the South Coast today, only days after the region was transformed into a winter wonderland.

On Friday, gale force winds and torrential rain created havoc along the South Coast and Southern Highlands with the temperature dipping to 0.5 degrees at Moss Vale and Ulladulla inundated with more than 200mm of rain.

But those wintry conditions have today given way to the heat of summer.
In Wollongong, the mercury is set to reach 32 degrees but will drop back to 21 degrees tomorrow.
Residents are not the only ones enjoying the warmth today, with humpback whales spotted in the waters off Thirroul and Shellharbour.
