A visiting coach driver has gotten up close and personal with Kiama’s tight Terralong Street rail overpass.
Defying flashing lights and a 3.4m clearance sign, the Telford’s driver went westward under the bridge about 11am on Thursday.
It was then that he learnt the exact height of the coach.
Passers-by stopped to offer advice on how to free the stuck coach.
To the sound of metal-on-metal, the driver pressed forwards, backwards, then forwards again.
With a final reversal, the coach drove onward a short time ago.
