That side was the sight of his daughter of Henny Hughes in the winner’s stall for the first time after Shee Bee Bossy took out the Red Point Maiden Handicap (1200m) at Kembla Grange.
Jeff Penza, who had a couble on the afternoon, got an easy time of it in front after jumping from barrier one and Shee Bee Bossy fought on tough to beat Gwenda Markwell’s Pomelo in a driving finish.
Dashing Bella, trained by Clarry Conners, was third.
“She stepped into the 1200m and was able to get that cruisy run,” Parker said.
“Nothing really attacked her and she was able to run on her own.
“She was able to give a nice fight when the other horse came up to her.”
Shee Bee Bossy’s victory continues a purple patch of form for the Parker stable, which now has four winners from his past seven starters around the state.
The trainer put it down to having the right horses back on track at the right time of year.
“We needed to get some horses back to the races,” he said.
“Since December we only had about eight horses in work.
“At the moment we still have eight in work but a couple up racing.
“I think the that’s the difference.”
Fellow Kembla trainer Paul Murray also notched up a win for the afternoon with Coolotta saluting in the last of the day.
