The Illawarra's own Gangnam Style star Trent Potter showed off his moves to a national audience yesterday but had to settle for sharing the stage with a TV weatherman rather than Korean pop sensation Psy.
With little sleep and a whole lot of enthusiasm, Trent made the trip to Sydney yesterday to see the now world-famous pop star who performed at an outdoor concert for the Channel 7 Sunrise show.
Although Trent wasn't able to take the stage with Psy, he got to perform his own rendition of the star's horsey dance as thousands of Psy fans cheered him on.
And then, much to his surprise, Psy spoke to him.
"He got to dance with Grant the weatherman, he was really happy with that and then later, Psy told Trent he liked his jacket," his mum Donna said.

"It all went really well; now he is asleep on the train on the way home."
When asked earlier if it was worth the trip for his guest appearance with Psy stand-in Grant Denyer, Trent, who has Down syndrome, gave the big thumbs up.
The Figtree High School student, who caught the Mercury's attention when he strutted his stuff at a recent Wollongong Hawks home game, had convinced his mum to let him take the day off school for the occasion.
He packed his own dinner jacket, glasses and bow tie, to emulate the unique style of Psy.
Gangnam Style has received more than 470 million YouTube views and is also No 1 on the ARIA singles chart and No 1 in 33 countries.
But Trent could be giving the star a run for his money in the social media - already clocking up more than 2450 "likes" on the Sunrise Facebook page for his performance.
