Residents at four homes in the area reported break-ins on Friday night/Saturday morning. Property was also stolen from two cars.
Wollongong acting inspector Cheryl Dunlop said the thefts served as a reminder for residents to remain vigilant not leave valuables in cars.
“Residents should ensure they don’t leave items laying around their house that could be used to break into the house,” she said.
“They should not leave wallets and handbags and money in their cars – that’s what they [thieves] are tending to target.”
