THE Wollongong Wolves slumped to a 3-1 loss to Sutherland on Saturday night, but stayed above Blacktown Spartans.

The Spartans were hammered 5-nil on Sunday by Manly, as the club championships-based relegation criteria.
It means Wollongong are on 13 points with a goal difference of -16, while Blacktown Spartans are on 12 (-29) having conceded 50 goals this year.
Matt Gordon opened the scoring the Sharks just before half-time, before former another Wolves junior Nick Littler doubled the advantage after 55 minutes.
Nicolas Bernal breathed life into the Wolves cause 15 minutes from time, but the Sharks secured the three points on 83 minutes through Jack Press.
“We are doing what we can possibly do and staying positive to change it,” captain Chris Price told the Wolves website.
"We have been saying this for the last few weeks but we have to still keep believing and hope results turn around’.
