The females were part of a group of 10 that was surrendered to the RSPCA in Sydney because the owners were overwhelmed with looking after them.
RSPCA spokeswoman Marianne Zander said all animals deserved a loving home and ferrets were no different.
The furry critters aren’t the usual type to be brought into the vet clinic, but now they’ve been desexed they are ready for adoption.
Desexing cuts the risk of animals getting cancer and is especially important for ferrets as going on heat can prove fatal.
“They’re a good pet for someone who wants a quirky animal,” veterinary nurse Sarah Curtis said.
Just like cats and dogs they need loving attention and enjoy chasing balls and toys.
These pocket-sized pets only weigh around one kilogram and will be your best friend for up to 10 years.
Greencross Vets in Fairy Meadow were able to help these ferrets thanks to donations via the Pet Foundation charity.
