United were deducted 13 competition points by Football South Coast earlier this season for a breach of the Illawarra Premier League’s VISA player rules.
After exhausting their methods to appeal with FSC, they took the matter to Football NSW last month.
Football NSW are expected to hear the case on Wednesday night.
If the NSW governing body upholds the ban, it will effectively end United’s finals hopes and change the ladder drastically.
United are currently fourth on the ladder and on-track for the post-season, but would fall well behind the top-five should they lose the points. Under current competition laws, teams who played United during the period where they were breaching the rules, would receive a 3-0 victory and three league points.
