A Bangladeshi national faces up to 35 years behind bars after being arrested and charged by Australian Federal Police over false identification charges.
Md Mahfuzur Rahman did not apply for bail which was formally refused by magistrate Alan Moore at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.
He was charged with being in possession of more than $100,000 in the proceeds of crime, four counts of possessing a false, foreign passport, and one count of being in possession of false identification. Each charge carries a maximum jail sentence of 20 years, 10 years and five years respectively.
