‘’It honestly makes my blood boil and makes me so sick,’’ the 25-year-old said.
‘’Have you seen these websites? When I went on it to see my photo on there I was in tears at the things I saw. It's honestly so dark and disturbing.
Police are investigating the site – hosted overseas – featuring thousands of nude photos of non-consenting students shared by boys and men who appear to know them.
Users request and swap pictures of girls by name, and ask for photos of girls from schools, postcodes and regions. At least three Illawarra high schools are named.
The Wollongong woman, who doesn’t want to be identified ‘’because that’s when these sickos target you’’, said she called police when her photo, that was not nude or pornographic, ended up on a “revenge porn’’ style website.
An ex-boyfriend who she had blocked on Facebook accessed a picture. Soon after it appeared on the website along with her full name, and requests that other people post any nude picture of her.
“I did speak out, I pushed it with the police until I felt so deflated I couldn’t anymore,’’ she said.
“To be brutally honest, I’ve never felt so low in my life than I did at that point and it entered my mind that I didn’t want to exist in this world anymore.
‘’That’s really the first time I’ve felt so close to suicide. And mine wasn’t even a nude photo, so I really cannot imagine how other girls get through it. ’’

“I had a complete breakdown in the days after I found out. I needed counselling so I cannot even imagine how the girls who have their naked photos posted on there feel.’’
The woman said anyone should be able to send an intimate photo of themselves to another person they trust, without having it shared online.
“The whole thing is so extremely disturbing and scary, I truly hope they can shut it down. So many lives are affected day in, day out and the heartbreaking fact is, some of the girls posted on there might not be able to get past this.
“There are no consequences for these men or boys at the moment.’’
