These questions must be answered by Mr Baird.

They state the Korean price is 25 per cent below the Australian tender, but surely the income tax paid by the manufacturing workers plus the components GST would go a long way to bridging this gap.

Then there is the flow on benefits gained by the community and small business, particularly if construction takes place in a regional centre such as the Illawarra.

The arrogance, lunacy and abandonment of common sense of this Baird Government should render them to the political scrap heap at the next election.

This story “School for troubled kids to be refused” (Illawarra Mercury, August 17, 2016) made it sound the residents of Berkeley look like we are against the students and that is our only argument.

Looking at the submissions entered against this development application you would find that quite a few of us are actually against this DA because of the effect to the students.

Imagine 100 kids being restrained to a concrete handball court and that's their only outdoor area for enjoyment, eating and relaxation.

Imagine being restricted to six buildings joined by covered enclosed walkways.

Imagine being a Koori youth with no ties to the land or holistic side nature to grow and no natural sunlight.

Imagine being taken away from an area with already built relationships with organisations like the PCYC in Bulli and Circus Monoxide.

The students in my opinion have not been considered in this massive proposal of small site stature and it is 100 per cent a money and business matter over community and student interest. You can take that to the bank.

Peter Dutton says he is sick of the press trying to defame him over the asylum seeker camps and their treatment.

I can only suggest that he takes the matter to a full and open court so our judicial system can decide if the claims are accurate and if he has been defamed.

With the census fiasco it just goes to show and prove what a complete incompetent federal government we have in Canberra.

They never let up on their incompetence.
