Universities Australia has asked the Human Rights Commission to conduct the survey which will be used to improve university policies, procedures and support services. UOW student services director Megan Huisman said UOW would run the student survey in October and run a campaign in conjunction with it to encourage students to participate and also provide feedback to the Human Rights Commission and to report any incidents.
“UOW shares Universities Australia’s desire for active participation by students in this survey so that we can better understand matters surrounding sexual assault and harassment and continue to improve the support we provide to students affected by sexual assault and harassment,” Ms Huisman said.
