Residential rental vacancies have gone up across the Illawarra for the month of July according to data from the Real Estate Institute of NSW.

Vacancy rates rose 0.1 per cent to 1.9 per cent, with Wollongong up 0.1 per cent to 1.6 per cent.
The outer suburbs also rose by 0.1 per cent up to 2.1.
It’s the highest vacancy rates have been for the region since two per cent in January, before they dived to 1.2 per cent in February.
Meanwhile both middle and outer Sydney rental availability was stable at 1.9 per cent, while outer Sydney rose 0.1 per cent to 1.9 per cent.
