The First Sunrise of Spring Swim at North Beach on September 1 is open to everyone as a way of saying ‘hello’ to the new season.
The event has been run by the UOW Snowsports Club for at least seven years, with more than 100 people joining the fun in 2015.
It’s not for the faint-hearted, as air temperatures around 5:45am have been below 10 degrees lately.
Ocean temperature is around 18 degrees.
