Radamaria Nazarenco and Arcadie Nazarenco, of the Imperial Russian Ballet Company, are giving a master class to 60 young dancers at the Joanne Grace School of Dance.
It comes six weeks before the world renowned dance company performs The Nutcracker at IPAC from October 6 to 9. The children are getting the expert tuition to be part of the production.
Arcadie Nazarenco said it was great to pass on what he knew to the 60 young dancers who had been split into two groups of 30. Aspiring star Aleyah Jabakhanji, 12, described it as an amazing opportunity.
Joanne Grace said it is not the first time her dance school has been involved with the ballet company.
“Six years ago we were fortunate enough to perform The Nutcracker with the Russian Ballet and we’ve been given the opportunity again.
The reason for two casts is the show is quite late and splitting into two groups gives more kids an opportunity,” she said.
