Creagh appeared certain to break the St George Illawarra club record for most games played at the start of the year, but will end his career on 271, two short of 2010 premiership captain Ben Hornby. The 31-year-old announced his retirement earlier this month because of a chronic knee injury.
However, he has continued extensive rehabilitation as the Dragons dropped out of finals contention, allowing the chance to wear the red V jersey one more time.
Creagh made his debut in 2003, playing 11 games for New South Wales and two for Australia.
“I have been so fortunate to accomplish so much with the pinnacle being the 2010 premiership win which was done with a terrific group of players and a lot of hard work and determination,” he said when announcing his retirement. “I have also had the opportunity to represent both my country and state which is a dream for every young player as well as being entrusted to captain the Dragons these past four seasons which I have done so with great pride and honour.”
Benji Marshall and Mitch Rein will also play their last games for the Dragons, after protracted contract negotiations. Siliva Havili and Tim Lafai, stood down and later reinstated after a late night incident in Wollongong, have been named on an extended bench.
