The Gerroa Environment Protection Society will fly banners along Crooked River Rd, where the tree, which had a trunk resembling a pair of buttocks, once stood.
They are hoping the banners will remind voters of the Greater Glider possum and other animals which lost valuable habitat when the bum tree was felled.
Bum love: The beloved tree at Gerroa was chopped down in 2014
It was estimated at 400 years old.
Possum message: The banners will be erected on the roadside before the election
