Endeavour Drive, around Flagstaff Hill, will be closed to traffic on Sunday October 30, to allow for a “Thunder Run” procession of up to 2000 bikes.
The ride will be part of a three-day Harley Owners Group event being held in the city from October 28-30, according to the minutes of Wollongong’s traffic committee.
The road closure would take place from 6am to 1pm on Sunday, and will be allowed by Wollongong City Council as long as the organisers obtain permission from NSW Police and NSW Roads and Maritime Services.
The procession of motorcycles will travel from Endeavour Drive, along Cliff Road and finish in Stuart Park, the meeting minutes said. Councillors voted to allow for the roads closures at Monday night’s council meeting.
