It’s a joint activity involving Fisheries Management, Australian Recreational Fishing Foundation, (ARFF) Australian Fishing Trade Association (AFTA), Keep Australia Fishing and Clemenger BBDO and the Compleat Angler chain of tackle shops.

The Australian Government Productivity Commission (http://www.pc.gov.au) released a draft report on the fishing industry back on August 31, however it has only just surfaced.
Members of the public are invited to examine the draft report documents and make written submissions by Friday, October 14.
The flathead drifts up and down the Wollongong coast produced some monster fish over the weekend with the average for some boats being up over the 60cm mark.
Local beaches continued to fish well, especially for Wayne Cooke who ended his run on small mulloway with a massive red letter night last week.
Wayne landed four jewfish with his biggest going an estimated 16 kilos and the smallest going just under the 10-kilo mark.
All of Wayne’s fish were tagged and released as part of the study being conducted with NSW/DPI Fisheries to try to unlock the secrets to these silver ghosts
