The founder and CEO of William Campbell Foundation (WCF), Bill Campbell OAM, was in care himself as a child so he has a great understanding of the needs of children and young people.
WCF was established in 1998 after Bill consulted with bureaucrats about a service model that incorporated care and accommodation for large sibling groups of children on a farming property at Nowra Hill.
They provide out of home care, supervised contact, supervised transport, mentoring, crisis care, youth support and family preservation.

“They open their homes and hearts, as do their birth children, to children at risk so our luncheon is a way of celebrating all their achievements,” operations manager Sonia Liddicoat said. “We cater for large sibling groups of children at WCF. In many cases when sibling groups are referred to agencies, they are separated from their siblings, mainly due to lack of space which further adds to their distress.”
Each year WCF stages a Foster Care Luncheon as a way of thanking our incredible foster carers for their care, support and nurture of the children and young people placed with them.

WCF has new programs becoming available, as the capacity to take more children and young people into care is always a priority as well as working with restoration and potential adoption processes.
