This Sunday, September 11 marks the start of national Foster Care Week with an opportunity to reflect, acknowledge and thank those in our community who open their hearts and their homes to our most vulnerable.
Local foster care agency, MacKillop Family Services, would like to thank its foster carers for the great work they do, and for their tireless efforts supporting children and young people in care.
“Foster carers play a vital role in the lives of children and young people, who through no fault of their own may have endured traumatic or difficult experiences,” said Tracy Hill, manager MacKillop Family Services Illawarra Shoalhaven. “By providing a stable home, foster carers can set a child on a path for a brighter future.
