Both soft plastics and livies have shared the spoils but the key has been the tides regardless of the time of day or night.
Luderick central along the bowling club wall has been turning on the fish - even heard of some of the bowlers have thoughts of wetting a line between ends.
Offshore the tuna action has slowed but bets are odds on, the fin are still there, guys just have to find the right temp breaks to troll or start cube trails but there were a couple of decent fish taken wide of Stanwell Park.
On the other hand, the broadbill fishery further down the coast is going off at present with the long liners landing plenty of sizable fish and the co-op floors have to be seen to be believed.
Inshore, snapper fishing is starting to heat up with good reds around on the 40-50m depth reefs but be aware, the mako sharks are very hungry.
Just ask Steven Banks who headed out earlier last week and started scoring some nice snapper when a nice humpy headed red popped up around the 5 kilo mark but a very aggressive mako made short work of it right beside the boat.
