And with the help of Illawarra Women in Business (IWIB) it raised more than $1000 for the Salvation Army’s women’s refuge in Wollongong known as Carinya Cottage.
Professional makeup artist Meryll Faulkner said the money was raised with the help of many business people.
They included Karen Meiring de Gonzalez, of Skin Correctives, Carmen Rudd, of the Zig ZaG Hub, Diamond Offices and Wollongong Serviced Apartments, Lorraine Lehman-Jones, of Envy Jewellery, Debbie Reali, of Debbie Reali Photography and Impact Art, and M2 Kitchen which spoilt those in attendance with a selection of gourmet delights. Tayla Rimmer agreed to be the model who had her face made up by Mrs Faulkner for the Salvo’s Makeup Masterclass.
The next major IWIB event is the annual conference and expo day at the Sage Hotel on October 14.
