VALE Ray Cundy – Members of Warilla Hotel Fishing Club lost one of their club stalwarts last week with the unfortunate passing of long-time member Raymond Cundy, aged 83 young years.

Ray was a huge part of the fishing club for many years as a club member and would often be the first to step in to lend a helping hand to club member or mate, especially with raffle ticket sales and other club fund-raising events.
Ray will be sadly missed but never forgotten and the club and the general fishing community wishes to publicly pass on their condolences to his family.
Nathan Best fished with his 9-year-old daughter Mackenzie last weekend down at Lake Conjola and trolled the shallow water with hard body minnows.
In fading light towards dusk the highlight of the day was not the several earlier flatties that were all released, but a 91cm solid female dusky that after a few happy snaps, was also released to continue breeding (see picture this page). Congratulation Mackenzie – top effort.
