Their rivals come into the finals on the back of a 13-game unbeaten run, but Woonona coach Geoff Foster says his Sharks are “quietly confident” they can upset Wollongong United on grand final day.

United have been the benchmark of youth grade in 2016 and have lost just one match across all competition’s this season.
They beat the Sharks 2-1 in the Youth Cup final two months ago, but Foster believes his men are capable of turning the tables at WIN Stadium on Sunday.
However, he knows Woonona will have to be at their best against a United side which has scored more than 100 goals this season.
“Their results speak for themselves,” Foster said.
“They only lost one game all year and drew a couple so they are obviously the measure stick.
“We are quietly confident we can match them because every time we play them there has only really been a kick between us.”
The Sharks advanced to the decider with a gritty 3-1 win over Bulli in last weekend’s preliminary.
It was their third knockout victory on the way to the final after they beat Kemblawarra Fury and Wollongong Olympic.
“The boys have been playing under pressure for the past couple of weeks really so there is nothing new there for us,” Foster said.
“We are quietly confident.”
United advanced straight to the final with a 5-3 win over Bulli. The youth grade decider will kick-off at 12.15pm. Beforehand, Wollongong Olympic face-off against Tarrawanna Blueys in the under-18’s final.
