Illawarra District ladies won six of the eight rinks to beat South Coast and retain the Anderson Irvine Shield at Wiseman Park, Wollongong City Bowling Club.
Illawarra won the annual representative clash convincingly 164-111 to make it 13 Shield wins in the past 17 matches against South Coast.
The all-Warilla team of skip Maureen Murphy, Amelia West, Australian under-18s representative Natalie Noronha and Barbara O'Donnell were Illawarra's biggest winners, with a 27-7 victory in their 18-end match.
Noronha, fellow Australian under-18s star Dawn Hayman of Fairy Meadow, and another youngster Stacey Ferguson were among the most impressive players for Illawarra.
The other Illawarra winning skips were Albion Park's Pam Fuller (23-19), Warilla's Julea Morgan 16-12, Dapto Citizens' Judy Feltham (27-10), Bellambi's Judy Ramsey 24-13 and Corrimal's Pat Purdie (23-13).
Warilla's Vicky Turner and partners were beaten 18-15, while Margaret Sellars led South Coast to the biggest of their two wins with an 18-9 victory over Margo Brandes from Figtree RSL.
The annual event will return to a South Coast venue in November 2013.
