The members of Balgownie Hotel FC turned out top numbers for the September monthly comp weigh-in last weekend. As there are only two more comps to go before season’s end, the competitiveness is certainly on the rise.

Daniel Dawson tabled a 1.1 kilo drummer, a 400g whiting, 10 bream drummer totalling 4.8 kilos that all helped him take out mystery fish and BRE section.
Grant Bonner had blue groper, the biggest 6.6 kilos, 3 reddies and his son Mitch took out the junior award with bream, flatties and snapper.
Rod Kent managed 4 reddies, his deckie Rod Brown weighed 4 flatties totalling 2.1 kilo and Phil Cartwright and mate Geoff Dryland fished off Bolga for a feed of flatties with Phil’s best just on a kilo.
Fred Tagg won the barrel draw and also weighed more flatties and a couple of reddies and offsider Captain Paul Hansen had 3 flatties for an 800 gram bag weight.
