The award-winning singer, schooled at Smith’s Hill and the University of Wollongong, has performed around the world but is looking forward to the acoustics of Wollongong’s Wesley church.
She and pianist Chris Cartner will perform Turkish folk songs, Dvorak’s ‘Gypsy songs’ and a Russian repertoire including Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky.
“The Turkish folk songs have incredibly infectious rhythms and haunting melodies,” she said.
A Journey from East to West is at Wollongong’s Wesley Uniting Church on the Mall, October 16 at 2pm. Tickets $30/$20 through www.trybooking.com/ndyt
