Still, that’s exactly what Lake Illawarra man Wade Raymond did on the morning of March 1 this year, and now he’s paying for it dearly.
Police were out patrolling in Warilla when they noticed Raymond peddling around with a naked head.
Officers followed him around the corner to Mount Warrigal and signaled for him to pull over, however he rode off down an alley way.
Police gave chase, prompting Raymond to abandon his bike, fling the backpack he was wearing into a rear yard nearby and bolt off.
He was caught hiding in a court yard on Jones Avenue a short time later, Meantime, officers found a bong and 5 grams of cannabis in the backpack.
A search of his bedroom later that day uncovered six blue ecstasy pills and a ledger of the names of 10 customers who owed him money.
Raymond pleaded guilty to drug supply charges in court on Wednesday. He will be sentenced in November.
