Bulli PCYC will host the next swap on Saturday October 8, where men and women can grab some new threads in exchange for up to 20 items of their unwanted fashion.
“You are reducing consumption, reusing items that may have otherwise gone into landfill and recycling old into new,” Organiser Shane Moon said.
“It’s shopping in a sustainable way.”
It costs $5 to participate with hats, belts, shoes and clothing included as long as they’re clean and in good condition.
Items unable to be re-homed will be donated to the Wollongong Homeless Hub.
Ms Moon said a ”T-shirt to tote bag table” will be on site to help people carry their new items home.
“A pre-event drop off will allow you up to 30 items and a special pass to enter and start swapping 30 minutes before the doors officially open on the day,” she said.
“This will be at 12.30pm. We will then open the doors to the rest of the public at 1pm.”
