An Illawarra mother has fronted court accused of indecently assaulting her son after she allegedly pinched him on the penis and scrotum a number of times when he was young.

The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is facing two charges of aggravated indecent assault, two charges of assault with an act of indecency and a charge each of common assault and assault occasioning bodily harm.
The allegations stem back to a period between 2008 and 2011 when the boy was aged between 7 and 11.
The incidents allegedly occurred at the family home in a suburb south of Wollongong.
Police charge sheets claim the woman pinched the boy on the penis, scrotum, anus and buttocks on more than one occasion.
The woman is yet to enter pleas to the charges.
She was released on bail which includes a condition that she not contact her son, including on social media.
The matter will return to court later this month.
