The 2016 IMB Bank Illawarra Business Awards are the region's most prestigious annual business awards event.
In addition to recognising outstanding achievement of businesses, the Awards provide an opportunity to celebrate the important contribution Illawarra businesses make to the region.
Chris Lamont, executive director of the Illawarra Business Chamber, says owning and operating a business takes courage and a fighting spirit.
“Competition for people in business comes naturally and the spirit of competition is certainly on show when you see the quality of this year’s entries,” Chris said.
Winning an Illawarra Business Award certainly has its advantages as previous winners attest.
“The finalists and eventual winners of the awards gain public and peer recognition which provides invaluable exposure,” Daniel Rowan, managing director of Internetrix, said.
Since winning the 2015 Illawarra Business of the Year Award, Internetrix has gone from strength to strength and has secured contracts right across Australia.
Winner of the 2015 Outstanding New Illawarra Business, Lisa Burling of LBPR said, “We received renewed attention from the local business community, and beyond. It also led to new business with like-minded clients which was a wonderful result for us.”
