NSW Parliament has bowed to demand from 30,000 Illawarra residents for a PET scan machine.
Kiama MP Gareth Ward announced in Parliament this afternoon that Wollongong Hospital would receive the badly-needed scanner.
The equipment would be available to all public patients.
