Lee Griffin, 39, faced Port Kembla Local Court on Wednesday charged with two counts of aggravated act of indecency and two counts of aggravated indecent assault.
The incidents are alleged to have occurred on three different dates in Nowra in early September.
One is said to have occurred sometime between 1am and 4am.
The teen disclosed the alleged incidents to authorities in mid-September, telling Child Abuse Squad detectives in a recorded interview that Griffin had slapped her bottom on one occasion, then rubbed her on the breasts on another occasion.
Griffin was arrested at Oak Flats Police Station on October 8 and released on strict bail, which includes conditions that he have no contact with the teen and that he not be in the company of any child under the age of 16 without a responsible adult present.
It is believed Griffin has been stood down from his job pending the outcome of the court case.
In court on Wednesday, defence lawyer Aaron Kernaghan entered pleas of not guilty to all charges and sought a six week adjournment for the brief of evidence to be served.
Griffin did not speak during the brief mention of the matter and only nodded his head when the registrar sought to clarify his presence in the courtroom.
Outside court, Mr Kerngahan told waiting media that his client would not be answering any questions, claiming Griffin appreciated the “significance of the matter”.
However, he went on to slam the accusations, labelling them a “significant insult”.
“My client takes the charges very seriously,” Mr Kernaghan said.
“He considers them a significant insult to both his dignity and his integrity.
“He intends to defend the charges, he maintains that he’s not guilty and he looks forward to his time in court in December.”
The matter will return to court on December 7.
