IT’S hard to imagine Illawarra producing many more games like their previous two losses, in which they’ve shot at just 17 and 23 per cent from three-point range, but co-captain Oscar Forman says the Hawks need to quickly address breakdowns of the defensive scout to halt a two-game slide.

“From a team perspective it’s obviously disappointing when we have a [defensive] game plan and we don’t execute it,” Forman said following the Hawks loss to Melbourne.
“It’s something where each player need to take the onus on themselves and make sure we get our homework done. We need to make sure we know the scouts.
“[Todd] Blanchfield shoots threes and he does it really well, we should know that. We came out a bit flat and we were trying to get after it and especially not give up corner threes [Blanchfield] got them so that’s just [poor] defensive execution. It’s something that’s just a process we’ve been going through it from preseason til now. It’ll come but it’s got to come quicker.”
