The Historical Aircraft Restoration Society is planning for a special flyover to coincide with the arrival of cruise ship Radiance of the Seas.
The Catalina flying boat and C47 Dakota will head across the city at about 7.15 am to fly over the Radiance offshore before she docks in Port Kembla.
Those using Mount Keira as their vantage point for watching the Radiance sail in will get an extra special view.
The Catalina is planning to fly over the summit of Mount Keira as part of the exercise and will do so again in the early afternoon on its way to a Catalina festival at Rathmines.on the shores of Lake Macquarie.
It will cap a big week for HARS which will host the Illawarra Tourism Awards on Wednesday night and then on Saturday night the HARS Constellation Ball to celebrate 20 years since “Connie” flew into Australia.
