All three of Illawarra’s Americans failed to make a significant impact on the match as the Hawks slumped to a 17-point defeat.
Big-man Michael Holyfield had a tough night inside with five points and four rebounds while Marvelle Harris got in foul trouble and finished up with just five points.
Rotnei Clarke topped scored with 12 points, but also had four turnovers.
Beveridge admitted the shots weren’t falling for his imports and felt that needed to change sooner rather than later.
"I think it is one of those things that you have an expectation that when things aren't working you have to turn to your imports,” the coach said.
“You have to have an expectation that they step up."
