Six Illawarra based startups will pitch their business ideas to a panel experts and room full of investors in the grand final of the iAccelerate Pitch competition on Thursday.

Finalists include Digital Homebrew, a home brewing company for craft beers; GeoInteractive, a company utilising digital technology to map hazardous environments; Health Ready, a health app aimed to change a person’s behaviour; Quirky Kid, a child psychology resource for schools; Stabilco sustainable construction materials used in “horizontal infrastructure” like roads; and ScrubUp a surgical database app.
The ultimate winner will receive $2000 towards their initiative while throughout the program participants gain presentation training and matched with mentors.
iAccelerate aims to provide an opportunity through the pitch for local, national and international investors to engage with entrepreneurs within their facility.
Last year’s winner was Me3D who had a focus on designing 3D printers to be produced and supported by the local community.
The iAccelerate Pitch is different to the UOW Pitch which is a separate competition run for staff and students of the University of Wollongong.
