The 30-year-old played two games for Perth and has cited mental health reasons for the sudden decision.
"In a time like this we have to focus on the individual, and right now Andre's welfare is our number one priority," said managing director Nick Marvin.
Ingram's departure comes a day after point guards Damian Martin and Jarrod Kenny were both ruled out with injury, further depleting the club's backcourt options.
"What I do know about our organisation is when our backs are to the wall, every individual digs deep and steps up for the greater good. Adversity unites us, it brings out our best," Marvin said.
"We have faced many obstacles before, and with resilience we will clear this hurdle."
The Perth Wildcats are yet to make any decisions on a replacement player.
The Wildcats take on the Illawarra Hawks in Wollongong on Friday night. Tip-off is at 4.30pm WA time.
