Maddens Plains to Bulli Tops: Heavy southbound traffic on M1 Princes Mwy has eased after an earlier multi-vehicle accident at Mount Ousley.
Cataract: All westbound lanes on Picton Rd are open at Mount Keira Rd after a truck breakdown.

6:00pm:
All southbound lanes of the M1 have reopened at Mount Ousley after an accident involving a truck and two cars closed the road southbound near New Mount Pleasant Road.
The RMS has advised motorists no longer need to divert via Bulli Pass however the road will remain open until 8pm.
Traffic in the area remains heavy with motorists queued about 10kms.
Meanwhile, Tongarra Road is closed between Croome Road and the Illawarra Highway in Albion Park due to a multi vehicle accident.
4:00pm:
An RMS spokesman said Bulli Pass southbound is expected to remain open until at least 8pm.
Meanwhile, it is believed two southbound lanes of the M1 Princes Motorway could be open by 5pm.
3:50pm:
A police spokeswoman has confirmed a crash investigation unit is “definitely attending” the scene on the M1 and will be there for some time.
This means southbound lanes, just after New Mount Pleasant Road, will remain closed during peak hour.
Bulli Pass is open southbound though traffic is heavy on Lawrence Hargrave Drive and on the Princes Highway approaching Bulli.
The RMS advises B-doubles are advised not to use Bulli Pass and park on-site or delay their journey.
3:40pm:
Ambulance NSW Illawarra duty operations manager Inspector Norm Rees says Tuesday’s truck accident on Mount Ousley worse than Monday’s due to more patients injured, the severity of injuries and the damage done to vehicles.
Six patients, two with serious injuries, were taken to Wollongong Hospital while a seventh was treated at the scene and “refused transport”.
“It appears a truck has lost control in the same area as yesterday,” Inspector Rees said.
“He’s come down and hit two cars, one’s been a roll over and the other bumped in the back.”
3:22pm
It’s believed seven people, six with minor injuries, have been transported to Wollongong Hospital after a multi-vehicle accident brought the M1 to a stand still.
Earlier a police spokesman said a truck heading southbound carrying soil lost control, and its load, jackknifing before hitting two cars in almost the same spot as a truck accident on Tuesday.
Illawarra Mercury photographer Adam McLean who was at the scene of both accidents said today’s accident looked much worse than Monday’s.
It’s believed the area has turned into a crime scene, and expected southbound lanes will be closed for some time.
Bulli Pass is reopening southbound, though heavy vehicles are not permitted to use the Pass.
Two northbound lanes on the M1 at Mount Ousley are open.
3:15pm
Bulli Pass southbound to open by 3:30pm however heavy vehicles will not be able to use the Pass.
2:55pm:
After calls from emergency services to reopen Bulli Pass, the RMS has confirmed soutbound lanes will open by 4pm and will remain so until traffic clears due to a multi-vehicle accident.
2:50pm:
RMS is still considering opening Bulli Pass, if they do decide to reopen it will be by 4pm and will only affect southbound traffic.
Northbound access on Bulli Pass will remain closed.
Southbound heavy vehicle will not be able to use Bulli Pass and are advised to pull over.
2:40pm
A police spokesman has confirmed a female driver is trapped in a car on the M1 after an accident involving another car and a truck at Mount Ousley.
The truck carrying soil jackknifed heading southbound, spilling dirt across both sides of the road, and hitting two vehicles.
The RMS has been called to reopen Bulli Pass, with southbound lanes expected to be clear for traffic by 4pm.
The second vehicle carrying four occupants have been treated at the scene.
Two northbound lanes are open, however southbound is being diverted into New Mount Pleasant Road.
2:15pm:
A truck is believed to have jackknifed on the M1 at Mount Ousley, nearly in the same spot as a two truck accident on Monday.
Emergency services were called at 2:06pm Tuesday with reports a truck was heading southbound when it lost control and possibly clipped two other vehicles – one a complete rollover.
Crews are on scene.
Southbound lanes are completely blocked, only one northbound lane is open near New Mount Pleasant Road.
It’s believed RMS has been called to open Bulli Pass this afternoon.
